I had hoped that today I would get an opportunity to try the 35 Berger on a coyote. No such luck (or maybe lack of skill). After three stands in a balmy 15 degrees with a 15-20 mph wind I found myself looking for some new spots. Actually found some good looking squirrel areas. So, I’m driving through the desert which is full of very smart crows and come over a rise. One is setting about 75 yards away. Of course those always fly right when the gun goes up and this one was no exception. Amazingly, it landed again about 300yds. out and very soon thereafter took delivery of a 35 Berger. From the resulting feather ball I must have hit him center mass and can say that I am very pleased with the terminal performance of this bullet on crows even though it is not very feather friendly.

 @ feather friendly!!

I shot one at 245yds with a 32gr V Max. It knocked BOTH pieces of him off the round bale he HAD been setting on. 300yds is a good shot on a crow!!

If you tie flies, you have to shoot one now and then with a shotgun. :D

I learned that a long time ago with the .17 Rem. Not many feathers left.

I shot one at about 300yrds with a 22-250 once . Again not a feather friendly round. 1/2 the crow locked on to the tree branch the other half blew up
nicely. with a shower of feathers afterwards..
