Still a bit new to this cartridge but plan on running 35 grain bergers over Benchmark powder since that seems to be a fav combination from what I've seen on the forum. I rarely have any place over 250 yards to shoot effectively since the mtns of Northwestern NC are extremely wooded and steep where I do most of my hunting. I've got the encore sighted rough sighted for 25 yards and still have to get the 100 yard sighted in as soon as the monsoon rains quit here. Any suggestions on sight in at 100 yards to have a dead hold option out to 200 yards. My range is limited to about 120 yards and I will be finally using my Stable Table that arrived quite late due to the latest run on reloading and shooting items..... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd sight it 1" high at 100 yds. My .204 is really accurate with the 32 gr. Nosler Varmageddon and BLC(2) powder, Rem. 7 1/2 primers. I started with 27 gr. and worked up to 30 gr. At 28.5 gr. I got a .169 group. My biggest group was .718. A friend of mine has killed coyotes with the 35 gr. Berger and he really likes it, says it always drops them in their tracks. One was over 400 yds. Every gun shoots different. You just need to do some load work and experimenting. That's part of the fun of shooting for me though.

To be on at 200yds, you will be something less than an inch LOW at 100yds. Without checking my table at home, I want to say my 24" barrel shoots 3/4" low @ 100yds with a velocity of 4,025fps.

My DPMS,24" bbl shoots a max load of IMR 8208 with 35gr Bergers just a bout 3/4 low at 200 with a perfect 100yd sight in.

sounds about right. I shoot 40 ND 50 grain bergers about flat to 200 at 300 about 3 inches lower. I load 10x powder but want to try xbr!
