For a number of years, I searched for and tried various calibers in trying to go to a one gun does all thing. I believe I found it in the .204 of which we now have about 7 of them in the family.
We have taken whitetail, feral hogs, turkey, fox and coons.
So far, every shot has been a one shot drop in their tracks. Or DRT as granddaughter says.
The rifles are a couple Rem 700's. Three Thompson Venture, Howa 1500, and a single shot.
So the largest of the critters was a 210 pound feral hog.
And my wife has done most of the shooting. Love watching her nail them in the ear or there bouts.
Ammo in all but the single shot is Hornady 40g . The single only likes the .32g Hornady

Re: what is the biggest thing
Not a bad way to spend a Sunday. We culled a couple of warthogs on a friend's property.
All but one was shot with my .204 with 40gr V-Max. The other one was shot with a .17HMR using 20gr Winchester HP's.
Shots ranged from 50m to about 300m.

Saving sheep one bullet at a time!

I've killed lots of coyotes with mine, almost all one shot kills. One exception, I hit a running coyote in the rear hip, which almost stopped him. The 2nd shot hit him in the neck and he went down for keeps.
