Rick you will have to let know more about this thing in June, I have a week off in June. I am only over in Boise Idaho so its not that far away. Would really like to pick up on some wisdom from the NW shooters.

Glen: Thanks, still undecided. I'm pondering it while trimming the 100 cases I shot on the trip. Appreciate the input....it's on the list.
I just know the rifle is truly wicked in the field. Once I got it dialed the first day with the Nosler 32's, it was like a "no miss laser" on the squirrels out to about 350 yards, as far as the mirage and wind would allow. The launches were spectacular, so her name needs to reflect all this me thinks.

Yes, correct, but I don't plan to mess with this chamber until it's rebarrel time. My custom M700 11 twist was chambered to touch with the bullet base at the neck/shoulder junction.

The number I gave earlier was just a guess as to how much was in the case. It's enough to hold the bullet axially straight (TIR=.001 - .0005") and is actually more like .120" as it turns out (silly guess on my part) so with no time available to tweak anything (just hours from leaving), I boxed them up and shot them. If I wanted to reach the lands later, there would be plenty of bullet in the case for the type of shooting I do: load and box them up, take out of box and shoot, put back into box. No worry about being in pockets or feeding through a magazine. Perfectly adequate seating depth for a single shot rifle and being able to reach the lands and still have plenty of bullet in the case.
This arrangement would not work through any 204 magazine though; only single shot rifles or a magazine-fed rifle that was fired single shot only.
Thanks Rick now it's making sense. Sounded long with the .075 in the neck figure.

hey pops-
she is a beauty for sure. i think you should name her after my lovely bride, JANE. Just Another Nasty Eradicator. they both are gorgeous, feel good in the hands, have a great figure and highlights, curves in all the right places, love to be caressed etc. i could go on and on, but you get the picture.
going out of town soon, i will call for a full update on the shoot when i get back.

After seeing your pictures, I'm getting excited about our P.D. trip next month. Thanks for sharing your shoot and with pictures too! It's always neat to see other parts of the country where the members here hunt.

She ended up being called
"Wicked Wanda", and for good reason, believe me. Besides the obvious, the acronym is:
Wonton
Anahilation of
Noxious
Damaging
Animals
She does a right fine job of it too. Shortly, she'll stretch her legs again and further earn her new name. Aye, but she's a wicked devil in the rat patch!

Now if I can just wack a badger with Wicked Wanda before Gary (Captqc) does with his Sizie-Q Cooper Phoenix 204........
