I'm tired so I was just kind of skimming the pics in the last half of your write up, and let me tell you, I got a little freaked out when I saw that fryin pan. :eew: Not often you see that at the end of a prairie dog story. lol

Good job, nice pics.

Squatting Wolf-- Thanks for the great writeup and photos. It sounds like you had a great time and are chomping at the bit to get back there.

Wolfster: See, I told you that you'd be hooked and planning your next year's assault on the way home! Launching Skippy and his pals is just a real hoot, and has to be done to be fully appreciated.

Glenn mentioned it could be worse, you could be broke......shooting these little guys CAN make you broke! Especially with the cost of fuel to get to Skippy's place these days...sheesh, it's getting rediculous. Even at that, it's still worth it.

Very glad to see you had a grand time, thanks for the great photos and write-up. I'm sure you'll agree now that the 204R is one heck of a rat caliber. Ya just gotta love that sound...."THWOP" when that little slug hits home!

Rick - you aidn't a kidding you can go broke shooting these little devils. Like you mentioned fuel along costs a ton when you have to drive 800 miles one way to go hunting! Oh well, it was extremely fun and well worth the cost. The trip got a little more expensive when my buddy called looking to sell his brand new Rock River lower. I'm going to pair it to a Les Baer or Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel so I'll have something that will really whomp Skippy next year! I was really impressed how the little .204 did on smal varmints and I think everyone else in my group was as well. Several of the guys were talking about picking up a .204 for next year.

the_right_reverend - that sure is pretty country out there and I saw more wild game that I've ever seen. Everything from turkeys, deer, antelope to prairie dogs.

Here's a few more pictures from the trip!

Me & my 425 yard headshot...note the winter deer hunting jacket, little did I know it was going to blow up a snow storm!

Another headshot, same results - this one a bit closer (350 yards)
