Well I finally fired all my test rounds and found that a load that my rifle likes using some CFE223 that I have. My rifle grouped best with 29.6 gr and the 32gr Sierra.
I wanted to see how it would do on something other than paper.
The first customers bottom half flew so far I have no idea where it went.
I happened to have a 45gr factory round. So I thought I would try it. It did make skippy fly!
This guy stuck his head out of his hole just far enough.
The 32gr practically turned this guy inside out.
The last guys body parts had barley finished hitting the ground and this little guy was already chowing down on him.
This guy almost made it down his hole.
Now to find time to load up a few hundred rounds. Good thing I have lots of 39gr's loaded.

Ian: The range was 80 out to about 220 yards. The 1/4 section of pasture doesn't have much cattle in it this year so the grass is getting pretty long in places. There are a few small hills where the grass is short enough to easily see them. Most of the ground squirrels out right now are juveniles. On the plus side there are thousands of them. It looks to be an excellent crop this year despite the late start.
Bodei: Yep its in western Manitoba.
We are extremely lucky here as the ground squirrel season can start as early as March and end as late as October.
