The range was only about 40 yards (chip shot for the .204). The bullet made the entrance hole you see and did not exit.

Nice going and thanks for the photo. Where are you located that has armadillo? They would be fun to shoot. How fast can they move?

Nice job would like to see what the bullet looks like after shooting one. I knew they had hard shells and have seen what they will do to a car. I guess you wont be makeing a helmet out of that one.

Wirelessguy....trust me,You don't want those nasty Armadillo's in Your State or around You!


They're nasty ground burrowing Creatures that dig holes every where and tear up stuff...not to mention thay are nasty little Buggers...flip one over and they have sores on them,might even be leoporasy? (spelling?) They move mostly in the late evenings,night time and early mornings so You don't see them much during the day time...and we can shoot them on sight just like Feral Hogs!


Any ways just think of a Opossum with a hard shell,thay can move quickly when startled and can jump straight up when scared...then they pretty well will crash thru Your Car/Truck radiator and ruin a front end pretty quick.They have been moving slowly up here into Missouri Via Texas,Arkansas since we keep getting mild Winters they are migrating further North each year.I was walking thru our woods this past Spring during a light rain/shower and a Armadillo was rooting thru the leaves looking for something to eat...and I just happen to be heading to our Ridge Top to do some Coyote Hunting and couldn't pass up a Freebie so I put a hole similar to Clint85 using my CZ "Varmint" .204 with winchester 32 grainers also....the Dillo is longer with us any more!

WARNING HUNTERS!!! The animal called the "ARMADILLO" has been known to cause the dreaded disease called "LEPROCY" in humans. There is no cure for this disease. So my advice is NOT to go close to them and especially do NOT HANDLE THE DEAD ANIMAL PERIOD.

I've put a hole in 2 more Armadillo's this past summer.....lets see 1 with Winchester 32 grainers,then I changed over to Federal loaded Sierra Blitz Kings in 39 grains,and it puts 'Em down fast and hard!


I finally used up all my Winny 32 grain pills and swapped over to the 39 grain Sierra Blitz Kings.....I must say they do group up Awesomely!

Not very good shot placement, more so being it at 40 yards, sure it died quick enough though !
