Speer versus SBK

Finally got back to the range to compare the 39gr Speer TNT Varmint versus the 39gr Sierra Blitzking with both shooting IMR-8208. The Speer is a flat base and it's overall length is at the middle of the BK polymer tip. The BK has a small chamfer/boat tail. The Speer had a tad more consistant grouping for the 4 load ranges whereas the BK seemed to have a flier a bit often.

For yotes and woodchucks I think I like the Speer HP over the BK polymer tip. But I haven't found anything my Tikka likes better than the factory Hornady 32gr V-Max . . . these shoot fantastic.

Don't have any 32gr Speer (I was shooting 39gr). I did try some 32gr Nosler Varmint tip and my rifle didn't like them. My barrel is about 22 3/8" long and the factory Hornady 32gr V-Max was creeping up on 3900 fps on my chrony. I shot a 1 1/2" group at 200 yards back in January off the tailgate of my pickup.
