Hi guys,
I should be reciving my new custom .204 Ruger next week
Its my first .204, The guy who im getting it off has put 150 rounds through it. He uses Reloader 15 and said it does hole on hole groups at 100 yards with 39 SBK and 40 V-Max's.
Has anyone had any success with R15 or am I better starting my own load developement with something like IMR 4895 or X10.
I was thinking on useing his already made loads to zero the scope and basicly get out shooting with and take my time and develope my own loads over the next few month while still able to go out and shoot with what he says is his accurate load in the mean time.
Whats your thoughts guys?
Steve.

Re: Reloader 15
I have not tried Reloader 15, so I can comment on your continued use of it. I would try the load your friend said he used and see if it works as well for you. I would really check out that load, first in a book, to be sure it is/was a safe one.
I just can not seem to get away from 10x myself. It is working so well in my 204. I did try a couple of other powders, but settled on 10x as the best so far. Bill K

Re: Reloader 15
Worked wonders in a 220 Swift I had, might have been the most accurate varmint rifle I have ever shot.

Re: Reloader 15
I cant comment on the Reloader 15 but if his load is safe and is truly that accurate, I would hate to waste barrel life just playing around if you already have one hole groups. If his loads are shooting fast enough for you I'd stay with it to save barrel life. JMO
It's hard to detect good luck, It looks so much like something you've worked hard for and earned.

Re: Reloader 15
I've had real good luck with Reloader 15. My 204's prefer the loads at the high end of the scale for best accuracy. If i do my part, I can put 20-shots inside a dime at 200 yds...consistently. Reloader 15 however, is temp sensititive to some degree so keep that in mind.
