Anyone using these in 204 loads? The Br-4s have gotten way too espensive for my limited budget so I was looking to switch my loading to the 450 mags or Rem 7 1/2s. It's a pity, pretty much every one of my accurate loads have been with the Br-4s.

I use the CCI 450 exclusively in my 204's. Thick cups like the BR4.

I have not tried the CCI's, but use the Rem 7 1/2 and Federal 205m and have never had any problems. Bill K :D

Getting any benchrest primers here in central Georgia is a PIA, hence my thoughts on using the 450's. It irks me to have to pay haz mat AND shipping for primers/powder and I can only afford to buy small amounts at a time.

Been using CCI small magnum on the AR but I don't know what p/n they go by (I'm at work). They've been fine, good groups (I think I said 2" @300 with the 32gn SBKs, and a little less if I cheat out the 5th shot). 'But I haven't loaded up for that rifle with another primer to see if I get better groups..

It is just a way to make money/tax us for more, in the so called name of safety. The government should know and has seen how many tons of ammo, primers, powder, etc are sent every day all over the world, with the war effort, etc. Between suppliers that load the ammo for the gov and you name it. They are just plain stupid sometimes and can not see how much they show it. As you stated, when was the last time you heard of a plane, convoy blowing up due to these items.? Bill K

Here in NY that thing is so out of control its scary

The secanrio goes like this: "Shimka" or "Precious" or some other brainless turd  eats a doorknob while mom and boyfrie(n)d are cracking out watching TV. Because fof the trauma  suffered from the doorknob removal procedure, our legislature passes "Shimika's law". That law will require:
1) Doorknob manufacturers to enact controls that shall prevent anyone from ever eating a doorknob.
2) Retailers to enact controls that shall prevent anyone from ever eating a doorknob.
3) Consumers (not of doorknobs...) to safeguard their homes in such a way that eating a doorknob is an impossibility.
4) A fund be stablished to educate everyone against eating doorknobs
5) A fund be setablished to help doorknob eaters pay for... I don't know, whatever :wall:  .

Of couse, govt oversight is required to ensure action and compliance. Service costs therfore demand: Taxes and fees (or, "Taxes and taxes"). The tax revenue here in NY goes to the general fund... which makes sure that $$ is always available so that "Sahmika"'s mom and boy frie(n)d can always be happy :D and never ever have anything bad ever happen to them.

I've had pretty good groups with the Remingtons but always seem to do better with the BR4s.

Oh... and I forgot. ther real motives are votes, and revenue. In the case of powder and primers: guncontrol.

I'd say "sorry" to get so far off topic, but...

You should see California and it's knee jerk politicians. Now these fools want to paint toy, air, imitation guns bright colors, so the police can tell that they are not real and start shooting the innocent people with those type of guns(?). :duh: Just a thought but they forgot the fingers, remember when we, as kids, made a make believe pistol with our finger/hands? Maybe off topic, but related to firearms and common sense. Bill K :?
