Hey you can cover a 5 shot group with a dime.....in my book that's itty bitty enough for great varminting!

Nice shooting there! I guess I'm going to try some Reloader 10x. I've been pondering it, but after all the tiny groups, including yours, I'm seeing on here, why not?!

I would highly recommend you try it. 10x was the last powder I tried, wish it had been the first. I read on here somewhere that if a 204 wouldn't shoot a 39gr bk and 10x powder then something is wrong lol.

One thing is for dang sure... that is way tighter than minute-of-prairie dog!

Glad you found a load! I too just worked up some loads with 10x and found it quite forgiving.

Kingcrawler – What extra pains in addition to typical bolt gun reloading methods do you endure to get those consistent groups from your T/C break open? I have a 23” SS no taper G2 barrel in .204 used on an older Contender frame that I will soon be loading for.

Roadkill, My pain in the rear was mostly due to excessive headspace. After the first loading of my new Winchester brass I was shocked to see that Alot of my casings were stretching tremendously between the case head and shoulder. After good advice received from this great site I proceeded on over to mike bellms web site and began some reading on how to deal with this. The encore and contender are great platforms but they just aren't as rigid as a bolt action which allows a lot of case stretch during firing. My fix for this was a redding body die adjusted for my chamber. You will not get by for long neck sizing only. Either get a body die or adjust your full length die to size your cases to your particular chamber.
