Cleaning between Loads

When working up a load, do you guys clean in between each load, or after so many rounds?
And do you just patch out the bore, or do you also scrub it for copper?

When working up loads, I only clean after changing powder types, or after about 25-30 shots. When I do clean, it's my usual routine: all the way clean.
It's also always good to fire at least one fouler after cleaning when shooting for groups, regardless if you're shooting the same powder or not. JMO

Like RIO said, and I fire at least 3 fouling shots. Also, don't let the barrel get to warm. I basically load test the way I plan on shooting the rifle. For example, with my big game rifles I figure at best I'll only get three quick shots. When I load test thats how it tested & sighted in.

I'll comment, I but don't have any real science behind what I do, it just "feels" like the best thing to do.
Start clean
5 foulers
.5 hr wait
test loads moving point a to b (ex., min to max charges) 10 min between shots
clean
5 foulers
.5 hr wait
repeat testing loads, but move b to a (ex., max to min charges) 10 min between shots
I have it in my head that this lets me separate barrel condition (dirt and heat) from load validity..
