Dogtown bullets

Notice, I have mentioned using these and also Midsouth's Varmint Extreme, in 204 and 224 and having good success with them. Does anyon else on this site use them? In comparing them to other brands, they sure look like the one's Remington put out. Just curious, as they work well for me, alongwith others i.e. Sierra and Nosler, in BK's and BT's. Bill K

i loaded up and shot some of the midsouth varmint nightmare's today in my 204. they were running at approximately 3,800 FPS and were holding a 1/2" group. All in all not bad for a budget priced bullet in my opinion. I will mention that they don't seem to perform as well if you run them really fast.

The jury is still out for me. I'm still trying to get a good load with them. So far they'll shoot .5 to .75 in my 204, but I'm trying to find a powder that will better that. It might never happen, but I still like them. I'm pretty sure they are Nosler blemish bullets. The Midways and Midsouth's are they same bullets.
I wondering how they perform on Coyotes.

I have used them on coyotes(2 so far) and ground squirrels. Appear to be as explosive as the BK's and BT's that I use also. On coyotes, I do not save pelts, so holes do not bother me. Just as long as they go down, with clean hits. I use the dogtown and extremes for most general
shooting, plinking, etc. as the cost is less. Another item to help increase shooting and save a little money. Bill K

Sounds like I better stick with the Berger 35's. Thanks Bill

K22. For sure, if you save or use the pelts. They do damage the hide with pretty good exit holes. They seem to be pretty fragile and do open up and damage critters hit with them. Good shooting. Bill K
