hi everyone. new to the forum.

i have a remington 700 sps varmint 204. it shoots factory remington accu-tip 32gr very well and doesnt like hornady 40s at all. im now trying to find a good reload for it like i have done with my .222. i have tried hornady v max 32gr and BLC2 but had poor results. i really want to use 39 sbk but that hasnt gone well either. i want to try rl10x but cant get hold of any so tried rl15 but with not very good results. does anyone have the same rifle and if so what powder are you using?

i've got a sps-varmint in 204, my two loads right now a both with 32 grain nosler's and im using 27.8gr benchmark powder in one load and 29.5gr blc-2 in my other load both with win cases and cci 400 primers, its tricky to find the right charge as my 204 has very small accuracy nodes so work up .2 grains at a time!

My Savage will shoot a ragged hole with Varget. I use 27.5 Gr with 40 gr vmax the 32's group almost as well . Pretty sure if I play with the charge they would tighten up like the 40's

I have a Remington 700 SPS in 204 that shots the Hornady factory loaded 40gr Vmax very accurately. I'm going to reaload both the 40gr Vmax and Sierra 39Gr BK using IMR 8208, which was the powder recommended by a Hodgdon rep.

Neither one of my Remington 700's will shoot the 40 VMAX. The CZ shoots them ok.
