Is anybody a fan of the 32 grain Noslers? I don't see too much about them on the forum. I have been working up a load for these and was wondering if anyone has had good success with them.

What little load data I have is a work in progress, but plan to use them in my TC 20AB,(24", 1:12 twist)which just went off yesterday for rechambering.Look promising.I like the small Boat tail, and expect to get close to 3600fps AA1680,after fireforming.

I shoot the 32gr Nosler BT's in two of my four 204's, both 12 twists (Cooper M21 MTV & Kimber 84M Varmint) along with both RL-10X and Benchmark. Both rifles shoot that bullet usually about .25" - .38", depending on conditions. The Cooper likes them better than the Kimber, but either is totally adequate for PD's, rock chucks and ground squirrels out past 350 yds with that bullet. (VERY explosive on rats! )

I have shot them and they shot as well as the Sierra BK. At the time I could not get enough of the Noslers, so I decided to stock up with the Sierra 32 BK which was available. I have since got better groups with the Sierra bullets than I had with the Noslers, but I also put more time into load development with them. With my .204 the Sierra and Noler bullets do not shoot the same using the same powder charge and seating depth, but I think the Nosler bullets would shoot about as well with a more optimized load, maybe better but maybe not. I measured (micrometer) and weighed quite a few Nosler, Sierra, and V-Max bullets and the Noslers had the best diameter and weight consistency.

It's all I shoot in my Savage 12VL. I'm fairly new to reloading so I have some consistency problems but the Noslers almost always shoot under 1" @200 yards, and I've had a couple of 3-shot groups under 0.3".

Then again, that Savage shoots under an inch @200 w/factory ammo. I've said -- and only half in jest -- that it would shoot under 1 MoA with factory 30-30 loads ...if I could just get the bolt to close.

Thanks, guys. I am currently working up loads with Benchmark and H322. I have started to lengthen my COL, and I have now had them group better than my Hornady 40's, so I think I'm on the right track. I also plan to do some work with H4895 to see how that comes out. Oh ya, the gun is a Savage model 12 with heavy 20" barrel (also called the "truck gun").

What COL are you guys using?
