34 Grn COL

Post by Song Dog »

I am wondering who has shot these and what your COL was. I shot a few at Melvins that I didn't adjust my die from the 39 BKs and was impressed with the 3 starter groups I shot. Actually grouped better than the 39 BKs, but the deciding point will be, is how they do with coyotes and the right bullet placement.

I assume that your talking about the Dogtowns or the midsouth equivalent. I shoot them in my CZ 527 American. My seater die is set for 35 Bergers and at that setting it sets the Dogtowns at 2.317. I haven't tried tweaking that load as I only use these bullets for fun shooting. I don't know if I would use them on coyotes. Here's a recent group and actually I have done better with them. In my rifles they don't like a max or near max load. Dave

Yep, those are the ones. My Bks are at 2.313 and thought I would see how the 34s would look like at that. Well, the bullet was not quit 1/8 in the case, so I lowered them down further and will shoot them to see how they do.
