Has anyone tried this powder in their 204? With the shortage of everything my local dealer does have a pound of this stuff left. I shoot mainly 35 Bergers and Dogtowns sometimes 39 Sierras. I have load data for 35 Bergers that I received from Berger but no mention of this powder. Thanks. Dave

Never tried it.
Its awful fast for the standard bullets in the 204. Might be good with the super lightweights like the 26gn Varmint Grenade. Maybe even the 30gn Berg.

Buy in bulk online and you'll save some money and get exactly what you want. Except for Varget that is.
That has disappeared with the primers.

I suppose I'll end up buying on line. I thought if someone had successfully used that powder I might try it. Thanks for the reply. Dave

I hear it is good in the smaller vartarg but agree it may be too fast for the 204. If you do try it let us know what you find.

Nope-Not gonna try it. Went out this morning with some H322, R10X, and IMR4895 loads. I'm just going to concentrate on these powders for now. Dave

I do have a pound of RL-7 that I was planning to use with the 26 gr varmint grenades (I have 10 boxes to use up). Burn rate is very close to H-4198 which I have tested and ended up with a load of 23.3 gr. Not sure when I will get a chance to test out the RL-7 but when I do, I will be sure to post my results.
