30 Gr. Berger Bullets

I was wondering if anybody has tried the 30 gr. Bergers in their .204. If so I was wondering how it did and what kind of load data they had. I just wanted to try them but keep going back to the Hornady's because I don't know any data for the bergs.

Thanks again
MOto

Welcome to the forum motsotud

The 30 Bergs are not very popular. The ballistic coefficient is pretty low compared to the 32's. They're not specifically designed to be as explosive as a varmint bullet. Basically theres just no niche for them to fill.
None that I ever heard of anyway. With Berger quality they should group quite well at closer yardages.
The 35 Berger sure does.

You can easily use the 32gn loading data for them. They have a tougher composistion than the 32's but to balance that out they have a shorter bearing surface. Try em and let us know what you find.

Thanks for the help. Thats funny you say that because I tried to post it a day earlier but I was waiting for the board to activate my stuff.
Sorry about that.

Look at it this way. Its a clear sign from a higher power that you were to try the 30 Bergs ;) They might just be the ticket your looking for.

I've never run the ballistics on them but I'm fairly certain the BC would not play much of a factor until past 200yds. Maybe even 300 if you have an accurate load going fast.
Maybe they'd work great on foxes if thats your game.
I might order a few myself. I've never really given them a full workup.
