First Groups with the new Cooper

Post by birddog »

Well, it was a rainy weekend, so I only got out for a few hours on Sunday. Spent most of my time cleaning the barrel between shots as part of the barrel break in process, but I did manage to get in 3 3-shot groups.

The first group I shot was the middle target and this is the tightest group I've ever shot in my life with any rifle. This is my first "small caliber" rifle, but it is still very exciting. I couldn't believe when I was looking through the scope after shooting that first group that I had one large hole!!

I can't wait until I actually start working up a load and getting some consistency.

Anyway, here's my first ever target with the new Cooper .204 Varmint Extreme. I'm very happy so far:

Nice shooting there on Group B. Better write that down in the ole range book. That warrants a little more testing.

Man I guess  That second group is outstanding for a first outing. I'm w/Skipper on this one, don't loose that info. Nice shooting :D
