A little experiment

Yesterday was a nice sunny day in the mid to high 70's so I did a little experiment I'd been wanting to do for awhile. I recently picked up a CZ 527 American in .204 and wanted to see how it compared to my other two 204's. I was shooting the Sierra 39 gr. B.K. pushed with 28.0 gr. of H-4895, Winchester brass and Rem. 7.5 primers.
I wanted to see how all three of the .204's would shoot the 39's. All were 5 shot groups at 100 yards using bipods and a sandbag rest in the rear.
CZ 527 American 21.9" barrel
3682 fps avg. .691 group
CZ 527 Varmint 24" barrel
3755 fps avg. .570 group
Sav. M12VLP 26" barrel
3893 fps avg. .596 group
I was impressed how well all the rifles handled the same load for accuracy.
I was very pleased with the wood on the American, a lot nicer than the wood on the Varmint, but when you order a gun, you don't know what you'll get till you unbox it.
