You best be sure you do not accidentally double charge a case when fiddling with this stuff!

Re: Blue Dot?
While I recognize that Seafire has done a lot of work with Blue Dot, in both .204 and .223, I also remember a poster over on http://www.saubier.com who spent time in the hospital, getting pieces of a Contender in .17 Remington cut out of his eye He was using Blue Dot, in his Seventeen.
I'm not much of a fan of this concept, I know the stuff burns cooler and allows more shooting, but the risks simply aren't worth it, in my book. You're on your own..................... Maybe Mr. Calhoon, another proponent of this madness, can advise you on this.

Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life!

Hi Ahab
I've used BD in the .204 for two years and have ONE THING TO STRESS!! You must weigh each charge, BD will bridge in the powder thrower. In other words, if you'er set to throw 12 gr. you might get 6 in the case with 6 logged in the thrower, so the next might be 18! Just a word of caution!
Buy the way I also would would go with a minimum charge of 12gr because a double charge will spill out of the case mouth.
You will find that a longer barrel (26in.) will get about 3400 fps with 14gr of BD which is almost max (14.6). All three of my rifles (CZV,Rem.VLS,AR-15/DPMS) like 13.5 to 14.0 gr. with 32GR BK's, but work up slowly from 12.0
P.S. The member of Saubier MIGHT have thrown his charges straight into his cases! This is not the way to load with BD or any other reduced loads in small bore rifle cartridges!
