Is anyone using this bullet?
what do you think about it?
will it work in a 1-12" CZ Varmint?
is it jacketed more for coyotes and stuff or is it still as explosive as most any other 204 bullet?

Thanks for the help..ahead of time and any load data that's working for you would cool

Lilcal here did some load development & testing with the 45's. A search should yield something. Check the memberslist to be sure I spelled his name right 1st.

Before picking up a whole box of the 45s, try a box of factory ammo, that should let you know if your rifle will handle them. My rifles aren't crazy about them, but they shoot better than the 40 grainers. The best I've been able to scratch out of my CZ American is 1 1/4" ;) , which is good enough to call coyotes with, but not good enough to shoot at PDs with (they aren't really appropriate for that use, anyway). One box should let you know how they'll do, and you'll get some brass to tinker with.

Well I have 500 32g Blitz Kings(as Blitz Kings have been great in my swift,22-250 and 221 FB)but was more or less interested if they will stablize and if the jacket was heavier on them then most of the 204 stuff...most everything I shoot will be crows and ground hog size stuff but was just looking a little info. on the 45's.

I was interested in trying these as well. I have not seen them listed at midway or at the local sportsman's warehouse. Might be a stretch for my CZ 12 twist to stabilize. I would be interested to hear of anyone using them and what they think. :D MH

My Rem. XR-100 will stabilize them with a 1:12 twist. I don't shoot them very often but I wouldn't worry about them stabilizing in your rifle. Others here have had success with a 1:12 twist rifle also. I loaded mine with 24.5 gr. RE-10X. I haven't tried any other powder with them because I just wanted to see if they would shoot in my rifle. You might as well try one box.

They shoot well in my 1-in-12 twist Remington 700 VLS, with 26.5 gr H4895.

The factory 45's did very well out of my VLP. Under a 1/2". I've got some test loads with RL-10X ready for the range.
