I am reloading for a T/C Contender G2 Rifle for the first time and was wondering what bullets everyone else is using as a favorite. I left off the Berger 50 because I don't think it will stabilize in the G2.

In your reply, add what gun you shoot.

I have to vote for the 39 BK. I've had my best accuracy with them and best performance on coyotes and prairie dogs. CZ 527 Varmint

My favorite bullet depends on the quarry I am after. However, I shoot WAAAAY more 39 gr. Sierras than any other bullet and most of those bullets are shot at prairie dogs. The 40 gr. Nosler BT is also one of my favorite bullets too and it is also used in prairie dog towns.

The 35 gr. FB HP Berger is my choice for coyotes, although I did put down a couple coyotes with the 39 gr. Sierra late this spring and there was a very small entrance hole and no exit. Shots were at 100 yards and 40 yards broadside.

Bob, I shot the 39gr. sierra's but really never got the grouping i liked from them. The 35gr and 40gr. bergers is all i shot now. The 40gr. berger is what my 12fv really likes. I only use this gun on coyotes.

I'm really surprised at the poll results so far. I would have expected the Hornady 32 to be used more. This is great Info. By the way, I was told by a salesman in Sheels that Ammo prices go up again in Sept.

This pretty much mirrors the results I got last time, way before some of the newer bullets came out. Over half of the votes went to the Sierra 39, the rest were split up among all the other bullets. Hey, if it's good, it's good! My rifles prefer the 32s, but if I had my way, the rifles would prefer the Sierras, too.

I ditto Lee C. The Bergs always grouped tighter than the 39bk's for me.

[img]From my limited expierence the 35 gr. bergers have shot really well. But at the range yesterday I got this goup with the 39 bk's. That was just one of three five shot test groups I had. I think I might have something to work with. I may change my vote to the 39's.[/img]

32gr v max . so far this is all that has gone down the tube on my Encore
4 boxes left. Its time to start reloading I plan to experiment with the 35 bgr. plan to shot coyotes with these and will stick with the 32gr vmax for parie dogs. Sierra's to much $$$$

I am surprised at the pole also. The 32 VM’s shoot so well through my rifle and provide such spectacular action on squirrels that the 3,000 39 BK’s I have just sit on the shelf. Not that they are not a great bullet, I just can not see the need to spend the extra money for them when shooting volume.

I really want the 39 BKs to shoot well for me, but I have had better luck with the 40 bergers. I am still trying to get the 39s to work for me.
