Skipper, i was actully just looking at the beta master at midsouth for $108.
Is it worth while to get the one with the printer? Or is that just a luxury item.

BunG, I have the Chrony Beta Master and it does a great job... as long as I don't have someone shooting short barreled high vel guns right next to me. Also I have heard that the customer service at Chrony is great, 1 guy sent in his chrony for repair after putting a round through it and all he paid was shipping.

hozz: Again, get the best you can afford. The Ohler 35P would be the top choice, but my Chrony Beta has been chugging along now for more years than I can remember, and it didn't break the bank.
If you get a Chrony, use it for a few years, you can always step up to an Ohler, as the Chrony would sell in a heartbeat to one of your buddies or online.

If you get a Chrony, don't loose the instruction manual. The button functions take a little getting used to.

Leo: Did not know the Ohler 35P was out of production. If it is, it's a real shame, as that was considered about the best of the best.

Ran across the CED M2 Chronograph from Competitive Edge Dynamics, any opinions? Several places on the net stated that this one was more acruate then the Ohler 35P...

I have a PACT 1 XP, one channel was DOA. Called them and sent it back and they sent me a new one. Not as picky about light as my Chrony but that maybe because it is 14 hard years old (and still works).

The Oehler 35P is out of production; however they still supply parts and service. If you can find a used one, definately worth it. I bought one a couple years ago, and its the best I've ever experienced.

Sorry, Ohler no longer sells the 35P.

I have this chrony and really like it. I bought a "package deal" from Shooters Connection. They had the cheapest price I found.
It has a place for a spare 9 volt battery and you need it. That is my only complaint is the battery doesn't last real long. They offer a rechargeable nicad pack for it and I think I'll try that. It comes with software and a usb cable to download the data to your computer.
