I loaded up 8 different loads for the .204 using the Sierra 39 gr. Blitzking. I found one load that shot the best group I have shot in my life! Here’s the data:
Sierra 39 gr. Blitzking #1039
IMR 4895 @ 27.0 gr.
Winchester WSR Primer
C.O.A.L. = 2.250â€Â
5-Shot group @ 100 yards = .183†Center-to-Center

4895 and the BlitzKing, not too much of a surprise there
It looks mighty good to me! Keep up the good work! You'll have to get in on the postal shoot, if you can keep that up!

I noticed your name is not in the postal shoot list. Hawkeye's LRPV needs some competition!
edit: correct spelling.

Suppose anyone would notice if I just pasted this target over the new one?

My shooting buddy was watching after the first 3 shots, then the fourth shot went into the center, after that the pressure was on. I don't know who was more surprised, him or me!
He's been kicking my butt lately, so now I'm ahead for the time being. He cheats though, he's retired and can put more time in at the range!
Hawkeye,
Is that LRPV the new Savage that has the trigger that adjusts down to a few ounces? Do you know if that trigger would / could be used in my buddy's Savage model 12?

I'm not sure if the trigger will fit the other actions...The last time I shot a group like that it was a .07? . The last five of the day.The next time out before my first shot I noticed my scope was loose
...Never tried IMR 4895 for the 204.Maybe some day I'll give it a try.I stock it for my 8X57 Mauser.It's VERY accurate with that stuff!
