is there a way to to mark the case trimmer to do diff rounds. i reload for my 308 and now for my 204 just was wondering it there was some good way to mark the trimmer to get it back to almost the same spot or would it be better to set up two trimmers. or buy another trimmer shaft and have a shaft for each round ? just looking to see what most people do.

Don't buy two trimmers. Just have a dummy or sample case for every round you want to process, trimmed to the exact length you're after.

Put the sample case in the trimmer, lock shaft's length adjustment screw for that case, and you're done. All the cases trimmed will be the exact length of the dummy round.

Verify the length dimension with a good set of dial or digital calipers just to make sure.

Buy a Lee trimmer for both of them. No fuss, no muss and you can't make a mistake.

Lee does not make trimmers below 22 caliber. :(
