Can I expect my 1-10 twist 204 ruger to stabilize a Berger 55gr bullet?
Seems marginal to me...but curious if anyone has had experience in this area.
Thanks.

Berger recommends 1 in 7 twist.Suggest you go to their site before you buy bullets, from info i,ve seen ya need 1in 8 or 1 in 9 for 50 grainers, they discontinued them.

Another nice thing about Berger bullets, is that you don't even have to go to the web, they print the twist desired right on the box of ammo, for the most part. Puruse your local shop and check it out. Bill K

I think you can use 45-50 grainer's w 1 in10" .Don't know anyone that makes 1 in7" or 1 in 8"twist. I've got some custom 45 grain boattail ordered, should get em next week.I've got 2 1 in 11" twist barrels,i'm going to try them in.The only guy i know makeing 20 cal bullets is DON UNMUSSIG; they are $33 a 100 plus shpg.I wish hornady or nosler would make a 45 to 50 gr bullet.

I hadn't noticed that they list the optimal twist rate on the box. I checked a box of 35 grain bullets I have on hand and there it was-1:14". Learned something new today!
