Primers

I went to cabelas and they were out of cci br4 so he gave me 6 1/2 remintons but I notice most say the use 7 1/2. Is 6 1/2 ok

In a word...."NO".

The 6-1/2 primer is intended for low intensity rounds like the Hornet or Bee. They have thin cups and will likely be pierced by shooting them in a 204R. Save them for your Hornet (you DO have a Hornet, right? ;) ) and get some 7-1/2's, which are my personal choice for the 204.

Another good choice is the Federal 205M if you still can't find the BR4's.

I don't know if the data has changed at all but at least gives you an idea of where different primers compare to each other.
