A friend of mine had a issues with a few random brass while shooting and he is wondering why it happened any advice of knowledge, Heres a Photo

If he has been shooting the same rifle and no prior issues with case's blowing like that, then this batch of brass has a major issue, I would sure call and talk with the brass maker and go from there. In the meantime I would not shoot anymore of that bunch. Bill K

Whoa....I agree with Bill K, until it can be sorted out, I would-not shoot anymore of that stuff. In addition, I'd get a bore scope or other device and take a look at your chamber just to make sure the walls aren't scored.

Looks more like a "lite load" not blowing the case neck out enough, pressure blowing down the side from the neck not sealing, pressure blows the case body in.

I'd be seriously looking at the inside of that chamber, as with that much super-hot gas leaking/bleeding into it, there's bound to be some gas-cutting that's occurred, and further shooting may not be in the owners best interest.
If gas-cutting HAS occurred, then perfectly good cases shot in it may be damaged and not be usable. Best to get that thing checked out properly by a good gunsmith before going any further IMO.
