The 39gr SBK with 23.4gr of Reloader-10X has been an excellent performer for me.

In my Savage Predator, Ruger Hawkeye Predator, and my TC Venture - 25 gr of RE-10x with the 39 gr BK always shot very accurate and fast. In the Savage it is a tack driver. It's a little too fast I think because at anything under 50 - 75 yrds the bullet would make a nasty surface wound. I lost a few animals because of it. But out past 100 yds, instant death. So that is now my long range snipeing load in open country during the winter. The rest of the time I shoot the 40 gr Berger with 27 gr of H4895 in the Venture and 26 gr RE-15 with the 45 gr Hornady SP in the Ruger . The 45 gr bullet tears them up a bit, but they don't get up n run afterwards. I don't save the pelts, just keep the critters away from my cattle. I think the 40 gr Berger is the better bullet of the three. It always drops them, is accurate, and is easy on the hides. It doesn't stabilize in the Savage for some reason. But it shoots really well in the Venture and somewhat in the Ruger too. The 27 gr of H4895 is a bit hot, so drop down a grain or two to see how it works in your gun if you decide to try n use it.
