Hi guys,heres the deal.I have a rem 700 sps 26in barrel 1/12 twist. My two loads are norma brass,seating 2.308 . benchmark and 10x powder. 39gr searra bk. using nosler and searra loading data and working my loads from base loads up to near max. My best groups are at the min. powder data that are only giving me a velocity of about 3300 fps.I know accuracy is more important than velocity,but looking at the trajectory charts Im not satisfied.I need a flater shooting bullet and still get some tight groups. Does anyone have any suggestions as to another powder that I could try. I would like to get at least 3600 fps and still get a tight group. I would be thankful for any suggestions you could give. PS using rem. 7 1/2 primers

THIS LOAD MAY BE TOO HOT IN A DIFFERENT RIFLE. START LOW & WORK UP .2GRS PER LOAD.

I have had excellent accuracy using 39gr BKs with either 27.9 or 27.7 grains of CFE223. This combination hates the cold however. Accuracy really drops off if the temp is below freezing.

I use 39gr SBK with 29 gr of the mythical RL-15 it doing 1/2 MOA or better @ around 3900

I'm getting great speed with excellent accuracy using the 39gr SBK over a stiff load of RL-10X and the Rem 7.5. I'm getting 3,980 fps, but know that I'm loading long to reach the lands, and shooting single shot with a BR follower in my Sako M75V 12-twist. I use almost the same load in my Cooper M21 MTV, also a single shot and able to load long.

Even loaded long, the TIR is still running right at .001" - .0015", so there's enough shank in the neck, much to my own surprise. Gotta love that Redding 20VT Comp Seater!



This load has shot in the low .2's, but usually runs low to mid .3's. VERY good LR load for grass rats and chucks (but a tad over book max, hence it is not listed, but safe in my rifles).
