anyone tried it? Just curious, If I can find a pound locally I am interested in giving it a try. I used some of their powder in 9mm/45ACP/38sp a few years back, it was good stuff but pricy. It was really clean though

I'm glad you posted this thread, it's a powder I'm looking into as an alternative to N140. So far I've loaded a variety of N130 charges and nosler 32 grain bullets, but unfortunately my rifle delivery has been delayed. :(

Viht powders are only available in 1 kilo tubs.

Clearly not a popular powder judging by the overwhelming response :(

Don't you mean UNDERwhelming? :) The places I haunt don't carry much in the way of VV powder. Always been curious to try it though.

I was considering finding a pound just to try. One of our local shops used to carry a fair selection of VV but I rarely shop there due to their prices so not sure if they still do. At the moment I have plenty of my go to powder for the .204 and all my other guns. Late summer or fall I will do a top off order of powder and primers and I will get a pound thrown in just to experiment with. VV seems to be the last powders off the shelves in these panic sessions so I just thought it would be nice to try and work up some loads with in case I get caught short some time

I've tried it just shooting Audette ladders using 35gn Bergers. I found nothing as far as accurate nodes go. Never tried any groups.
133-135-140 I found accuracy nodes with. 135 shot some real sweet groups BUT,,,,,,,,,, I always found with Viht powders in a 204 with huge jump to the lands does not blend together well.
Pay attention to the necks not expanding. Usually after a couple reloads you'll see this begin to happen to some but not all. Don't bother annealing, that will not help. Maybe increasing neck tension will.
