On my 204 ruger I get by just fine with a two piece set of Redding dies. I trim, neck ream and prep case's further with other tools. Bill K

For a factory chambering i second the vote for the standard Redding 2 Die set. The deluxe set is a nice upgrade if you want to neck size.

I don't plan on using anything but a neck sizer for the first several loads. So far so good.

KIM204, I use the full length die but have it set up to only size the neck. Also, I use a .225 bushing since the necks have been turned to the point of 75-80% clean up on WW brass. I have the competition seater and like it but, I like using the Wilson seater even better. Run out between the two is nil, just like being able to seat bullets anywhere I happen to be. IMO, the arbor press offers unmatched feel when seating. That being said, my competition seater won't be in the classifieds because it really is a winner! We are quite fortunate to have so much fine equipment to choose from.

ozfox - the only dies I've ever used are the Lee neck sizer, and Lee seater. Cheap, easy set up, and they're giving me 1/2moa at the moment with a short sporter barrel.

Lee collet and Wilson seater for me. Great brass life, fantastic concentricity (with proper brass having consistent watt thickness).

But beware! Sooner or later, you WILL have to bump the shoulder back after several neck-sizing session. I think it took me a LOT of firings before I had to do that... 17 I think??. I now have a Redding body die for that (shoulder bump) which brings us to the point:

A single Redding bushing die woud have done it all (neck or bump).

Ruger Hawkeye Ultralight - 20" barrel. This is with 26VGs @ 2.266 and 28.7gn of BM2

I personally use the Lee Collet and seater die. Not saying the Forrester or Redding dies aren't good cuz I use em in some of my other calibers. Its just so hard to justify spending $80-$100 for dies when the $30 Lee set loads such accurate ammo.
