My 700 shot well yesterday, this group was my final group after heating the barrel up and letting it cool. (what a difference a cool barrel makes) would have made it a 5 round group but that was my last three rounds. (the target is 12in.x12in.) 40gr. berger, h4895, rem 71/2 Image

Big fan of those 40 gn Bergers here!! Don't know what happens after the 300y, mark, but for me the 40 Bergers and 32 SBKs have the same impact point at 50, 100, 200, and 300 yards... I love 'em for that! And they great groups for me (1:12 barrel)

40 bergers and h4895 are the most accurate loads I have made. W748 is a good one for the shooter that is willing to allow his barrel to rest between shots. I like it due to the high velocity/less drop ability it can produce.

My first load I developed was with the 35 bergers but I also gave the 39bk's a shot since they have a high BC. Its nice to have a bullet that groups well and bucks the wind fairly well.

you gotta expand on that a little bit,....you have the same impact point at 300 as you do 50yds? what powder and amount is enabling that? If that is true i am very interested to know what happens with your setup beyond the 300yd range. that is some intense ballistics...

Well, I have the scope adjusted a little whacky by most standards. I'll hit something like 1.5" high @ 100, and 2.5" high @ 200, and then the drop starts and brings me back down to the bull @ 300. From there the "fall off the earth" begins. So if you think about it, that's not too far off form the charts, which have an inch high @100, with a 200y zero, and then 3-4" low @ 300"

My numbers may be off like an inch or something, but you probably catch my drift. I have a pic somehwere, I'll see if I can post it, and maybe Federal's trajectory graph.

I'm shooting 26.5gn Benchmark for the 32 SBK, and I think 25gn for the 40gn Berger.

Here's the Berger print:

And here's the Federal trajectory data, so you can see I'm just rotating the graph CCW a few degrees :
