'Funny you should mention that, I loaded up some 40 gr VMax rounds for a ladder a while back, but blew the whole smash because I was still under the severe misconeption that "the wind doesn't matter" (what a dope..).

When I look at the prints, some of the 40grs had great accuracy if I take out the horizontal. I loaded up another batch, and will be trying it again when I can get a calm day.

that 32gr load I did,was on saturday and the 100 meter range is well surrounded by trees, barely a breeze,,when I went back sunday to chrono the load(wich averaged 3677 fps),,and shoot them at the 300meter range,,100m not affectted much by wind,200m about an inch off,300m about 2-3 inches off,,and that was with 135deg wind 8-10 mph from behind,,wind definitely blows those lil 32's around

The 40 gr VMax's did very well. I was printing 5 shot groups of 0.5" @ 100y, with my best load. I think I can shrink it down a tad if I can settle on good shooting form. I realizing that I'm not very good, LOL!!
