Here's a group I shot last month in preparation for the local rifle and pistol club 200 yd benchrest competition the following day. I was lucky enough to win the next day with a 1.600 5-shot group among 12 competitors. Certainly not a great 200 yard group, but under the conditions, I was satified.

I've taken all of the Favorite Loads from this thread and put them into a spreadsheet and found some interesting stats.

The 39g Sierra BK are favored 2to1 over the 40g Hornady V-Max and the 32g Hornady V-Max.

Your favorite Powder by a short margin is RL-10x by 11to9 over BL-C(2).

For Primers CCI BR-4 and Rem 7 1/2 BR were nearly even and 10 and 9 loads.

I can't figger out how to share an excel file with you but here is the data. Hope you understand it.

Bullet type and Weight Powder Charge Muzzle Velocity Primers Notes
32g Hornady V-Max BL-C(2) 30 CCI BR-4

I just relearning reloading. I did a lot of reloading in the early 70's for 45 LC on a small Lyman 4 turrent press and now that I'm looking at retirement in 1249 days 15 hours, but who's counting, I'm getting back into it. I am really enjoying the great info I'm finding here.

Verminator2,

Is that group from your HDR? Looks like you're about dialed in with that load!

Varmonter,

Nice group!

Yep, and thanks. I would have already shot the postal shoot targets but I sent my trigger back to Timney because it was double tapping

That trigger is a VERY good investment. I have not shot one 5 shot group under .6 with that other trigger. This trigger brought everything down about .1-.2 for me.

MinotBob's "Favorite Load" spreadsheet is getting a bit of a face lift.

I am in the process of adding to it...

Here is an early revision.
