trevort, I looked on the Sinclair site and don't see that it lists a .20 cal. flash hole deburring tool. Maybe they have one now and have not updated the site or I didn't look in the right spot. I think I may end up going with the K&M tools though. Just finished putting together an order of all the other .20 cal. stuff I need and I will go with the Forster full length and micrometer seat die for now and then get a bushing neck die befor I reload the second time.

I have decided I am sure not reloading to save money . There goes another $200 befor I even have a round loaded.

And yes, a big thanks to Silverfox for all the PM's and getting me straightened out about all the dies etc. TB

I'm looking to pick up a flash whole tool too and think I'm going to go with the K&M tool because it indexes off the top of the case head rather than the case mouth. I suppose if you trim all your brass to 1.84" it doesn't really matter, but in theory I think indexing off the case mouth is not as good.

Agree....I chose the K&M for that exact same reason. I've done over 4,000 cases with mine now, and other than the need to put a screwdriver handle on it to replace the cheesey electrical wing nut, it's top drawer.

A RCBS case brush handle fits perfectly by the way.

(Hooked: I see your from Vancouver...my birthplace....went to HS in Port Coquitlam, then lived over on the big island way up north for many years. You've got some excellent hunting ops there.)

hey!! i also have the k+m with the cheesey electrical nut. you say a RCBS handle will work. my question is... what is under the elec nut. is the cutter shaft threaded or what.?? iv'e been sooo tempted to take mine apart and try to rig a bigger handle on it. but i was afraid if i cracked off or broke the wing nut deal not knowing whats in their i would be with out. sorry to drag out this simple question. please respond quickly cause i'm dying to tear mine apart and have a bigger handle.LOL!!!!!! thanx, KEN

I tried to put an RCBS handle on my K & M flash hole tool, but once I removed the cheap cap I had to tap and dies to get the thread to match the thread on the RCBS. In the process I ruined the tool when I smashed it in a vice?????

Is there another way to get the RCBS handle to work?????

May be Rick in Oregon will share some tips...

Nice surprise to hear you started out north of the border! I live and work in Vancouver, but was born and raised in the interior (Vernon) and I still consider that home.

How far up Island did you used to reside in? I've spent some time in Woss, but that's as far as I've gone. My brother-in-law used to be the large carnivore specialist for the BC Ministry of Environment based out of Nanaimo and I used to go cougar tracking with him.

Like you said, lots of good hunting, but alas...so LITTLE time!

TOO builder--Any time I can be of assistance, just give me a shout. As for reloading saving you money, that is only an excuse I gave my wife for buying the presses, dies, digital scales, etc., etc., etc. It is entirely possible that I'm spending 5 times more money on reloading and shooting now than I would have spent if I bought store rolled ammo. However when wifey asks me about it, I tell her that the store bought ammo costs at least 75¢ to $1.00 a round and my hand rolled ammo is only 20¢ a round!

I NEVER TELL HER that I shoot 5 to 10 times more rounds each hunting season than I did when I was buying store bought ammo. I really used to have a hard time justifying the cost of factory ammo. However, now that I reload I don't mind spending the money because I am "crafting" my own ammo. It is something I enjoy doing and I thoroughly enjoy the pride and pleasure it gives me to see those little pasture poodles get turned into red mist by the accurate handloads I crafted by myself!! You are probably only fooling yourself if you think reloading is going to save you money

trevort-- I certainly don't qualify as a guru, expert, or anything of that magnitude, but thanks for thinking of me along those lines Whether I'm right or wrong, I always use neck sizing dies for neck sizing and NEVER use a FL die for that purpose. Am I 100% right? I don't really know for sure, but I'm pretty happy with the quality of the rounds I reload doing it the way I am

Hooked: No lie!? I've got alot of family in Vernon, in the interior, one of my cousins is a guide there. My uncle was the fire chief for years in Vernon too. I used to spend my summers there, dinking around and chasing girls at Lake Kalamalka in high school.

I also lived up island in Woss Camp, worked for Canadian Forest Products, also lived in Vernon Camp, but mostly lived and worked as a welder/mechanic on the railroad in Nimpkish Camp, just south of Beaver Cove. Talk about a small world!

By the way, on my K&M primer flash hole tool, I just unscrewed the cheesey wing nut, and threaded it (with a little cross-threading effort) into the RCBS screwdriver handle. It has stayed put, and has not come lose a bit. You can also mix-match it by using a dab of Accra-Glas gel; that makes sure it will never come out.
