My favorite ranch to shoot squirrels also poisoned this year with cabbage. It did a pretty good job on the rats but didn't get them all so we still had some good shooting. They could only put out bait till a certain date and after that it wasn't bad shooting. Not like the years in the past but still fun converting gunpowder to smoke. If you talk to the rancher, sometimes they'll let you know what fields didn't get baited. Randy-North shore of Eagle Lake.

I have a savage mod. 12 fv. it has along jump to the lands but not to worry using 39 grain sierra's and 25 grains H-322 and Rem 7 1/5 primers it puts four bullets in about .188" at 100 yards. at 69 years I might not shoot as good as you but .188" groups makes me very happy.

I'm 2ysr your junior and .188" would make me very happy. with 29grs of BL-C 2 and 39 BK I'm happy or at least satisfied with 4/10" but I'm just starting so there's hope.
