I have never bought Hornady brass. I have reloaded all of the Hornady brass from the factory loaded ammo I have purchased. I also had 150 once fired cases given to me, so I have about 250 total. I have never had problems with neck splits (the primer pockets are tight though). That said I don't know if I would ever buy their brass. I've never even seen it for sale in my area anyway.

I'm only shooting varmints though, not competition.

The only brass I have been able to find lately is Remington (never had issues with it either). I have never seen Norma brass on the shelf either, but I had it priced out. $130 for 100 cases. Yikes! Im currently on the look out for Nosler brass.

I must add that it may not be my favorite brass, but the Hornady I have and had, has not split necks faster than any other, but the primer pockets are tight. What I have done, should not have to however, is ream them as I do the military brass to remove the crimp, then they work just fine. Nosler/Norma is still the best. Bill K :)
