Does any one have data for this powder I have a pound just sitting around and would like to use it for my 204 but am having a really hard time finding and data

Thanks I was more looking for more info then going to the website I was just trying to see if their was a place that someone had some good groups. Forgive me for sounding cheap but bullets are had to find out here

I tried out some last week in my CX. 32gr Nosler Vermageddon (HP/FB). No chron info. Don't remember the load but it was right around 28.5 grains AIRC. Min load was 27.9 & Max was 29.1 grains. CCI-450 primer.

I haven't used 8208 in a few years but my best load was 26.2 gr with 40 gr Vmaxs.

I bought a 4# jug when I first read about IMR8208 powder and have had good luck using 35 & 39/40 grain bullets. I have never tried the 32 grain in my 204 Ruger.
I use 27.0 grains w/ 39/40 grain bullet and the CCI BR4 primer about .005 off the rifling. I feel this powder likes to run hot.....BUT please remember to start lower & work up until your familiar w/ IMR8208 characteristics.
I'm getting 3780 fps out of a 24" barrel.

It is my go to powder in 204 and some of my 223 loads. I shoot a max load per the Hodgen load data with 35gr Bergers out of my DPMS and my Savage. I was lucky that the same load was sub .5 moa in both guns, if I really did my part. Never saw a real difference in pressure from winter to summer. As always start low and work your way up. As mentioned, it does seem to like warm loads to be the most accurate. Good luck.

I use 8208 in my Savage 204. Load data is 27.4 gr. behind a 39gr. B/k touched off by CCI BR 4 primer. Deadly on ground hogs and prairie dogs!!

Probably too late by now but --- 8208 is made by ADI and rebranded. Go to the ADI website (google ADI powder) and there is a whole PDF document dedicated to that powder alone detailing the reloading information for the 204 from 26 to about 45 grain projectiles.

It's not to late im still trying to work a load up on it hard when seirra bullets are so hard to find its not that their the only show in town but so far I'm getting the best groups with them with RL-15 powder figures to since their like finding unicorn teeth

Bullets aren't hard to find, nor expensive. Midsouth has midsouth branded Noslers on the super cheap. Fired around 1500 to date

For my CZ527, 28.5 gr (8208) w/32 gr Nosler Varmageddon FBHP gave me .5" groups @ 200 yards. WW Brass and CCI-450 primer.

For me, Sierra have been hard to find but Noslers are out there.

Same as above - 29gr of 8208 with the varmageddon shoots 1/3 inch consistently from my tikka at 100m. definetly a good load.

I have loaded for two .204 Rugers. I tried H335 (worst accuracy and standard deviation I tried), Varget, IMR 3031, Reloader 15, VV N-530, VV N-540, benchmark and IMR 8208 all with Fed 205M primers and 39 gr Sierra bullets in Nosler brass for 3 years now. This year I have tried LT-32 and CFE 223.

When I built my custom McGowen barreled .204 Ruger my plan was to use VV N-540 because it creates the highest velocity with 39 or 40 gr plastic tipped bullets. I have found that I can get within 50 fps of VV N-540 with IMR 8208 with similar pressure and get better standard deviation and the corresponding accuracy you would expect. Often I will get consecutive velocities of exactly the same fps or one unit different. I often have to check the string to make sure that I do have two shots with the same velocity. Sometimes they are even between cooling periods while other rifles are at work. If I go to 28 grains then the primers get pierced or fall out. I usually load 27 or 27.3 gr of IMR 8208. I coat all bullets with HBN and my barrel is nitrocarburized.

I have not done as much load development with the lighter bullets. I would appreciate suggestions but so far VV N-530 seems to outperform all others in velocity using Vihtavuori data in both velocity and standard deviation. What have you learned with lighter pills?
