39g Blitzkings backordered.... now what?
Hey guys, I have my order in for cleaning supplies, a die, comparator tools, etc. and I was going to start with some heavier bullets....... so, besides the Sierra 39g, what is the next most accurate bullet in the 40g range in your opinion?
Thanks
Thanks

40 gr VMax and 27.4 gr IMR4895 shoots well in my TC.

Bazz is right but the next closest is the Vmax. I never had much luck with Bergers.
Re: 39g Blitzkings backordered.... now what?
Bergers have the capability of being the most accurate bullet available.
Wether or not you find the magic is up to you and your gun.
Usually my Savage tubes preferred the 35's. This one liked the 40's quite a bit.
Last five shots of load development at 200yds. No more tweaking required.
They have the ability.

Savage VLP + NF 12x42 + 35 Bergers = .

Nice pic of one bullet Jo................. where's the pic of the 5 bullet group though ?
Re: 39g Blitzkings backordered.... now what?
Yeah, thats whats called a wallet group.
If I owned a camera I might be even more annoying.
Amazing what some Savage tubes can do.
That barrel with that load did agg slightly under .25 moa @ 200yds for awhile until I messed it up using the 26gn VG's at hellacious velocitys.
I have a hard time getting my full custom BR guns to agg like that. Matter of fact they probably never have.

Re: 39g Blitzkings backordered.... now what?
40 Bergers did very nicely for me! I have the recepie here in the "favorite loads" thread. They shot well out of both of my 1:12 rifles.
I only shoot bipod and rear bag, and could expect 0.5" 5-shot groups, that would come down to 0.3" when I was shooting well.
I should also say that 32 VMax, 40 VMax, 32 SBK and 39 SBK all did equally well (0.5 - 0.3"), except one rifle did not like the 32 SBK, I got keyholing sometimes. I'm sure that was becasue I was doing something wrong...
