Hi
I see that federal are no longer using the 39 grain bk bullet in their 204 ammo and was wondering if there was any other factory ammo available in this weight.
39 grain ammo
Re: 39 grain ammo
HSM makes factory 39gr. Blitzking ammo along with 39gr. Calhoon double hollow pt factory rounds. I'v shot both these loads only at paper targets but they shot very well. Not sure how well the Calhoon bullets will do on varmints, but they held sub .75moa 5shot groups in my Savage. Web search: IQMETALS, this is the old Huntingshack web site, they are a full line HSM dealer with the best prices. Good luck.

Might wanna open the box first and check the primer pocket isn't crimped.bazz wrote: they are still bringing federals with 39 bks in here at oz
It may not be an issue for some guns, but these performed poorly for me, even on reloads. Groups were 1.5-2"
But before the crimped pockets, I was getting sub moa out of the 39Feds so they were a pretty reliable round.

Same box, same price. This was in about October last year.bazz wrote:im not with you dan have they changed the case
Don't know why they were crimped. I've heard of a few others that got hold of them too, but no reports on how they shot.
If you're getting the regular loads then grab 'em. They do shoot well.
I still haven't swaged/chamfered the primer pocket to see how they go, but I'll get around to it one day and post the results.
