45 gr. Hornady SP load data specifically

Post by coyoterod »

hi guys, as I'm new to the 204 Ruger, I have a H&R Ultra Varmint to start off with, I haven't been posting, but have popped in now and then to add to my learnin' !

can guys who are/or have actually loaded the Hornady 45 grain SP provide data to me?

I have the Hornady manual page, but am more interested in real world results from different shooters/rifles as the powder list is limited with Hornady as to what I can purchase here in British Columbia easily.

thanks in advance

The target on the right was shot with 45gr. Hornady sp's.
25.3gr. of IMR8208XBR, Hornady brass, Rem. 7 1/2 primer.

I have some H4895, but no 8208, can't get it locally right now, so will give the Hodgdon a go!

H4895 is a very good 204 powder. I used it exclusively until 8208 came along. H4895 should work real well for you. Keep us posted.
