I have a Savage 12 VLP in 204 Ruger. I measured some fired cases and am getting a .232 neck diameter (outside) and a .360 body diamter at the shoulder. For those of you who have factory chamberings, are these numbers in the ballpark with your fired cases? Wandering if these numbers represent a "sloppy" or "tight" chamber.
Thanks

most of the savage chambers i have had haven't been particularly tight. However a .232 fired neck doesn't sound out of line to me.

The 204 Ruger SAMMI print I have in hand shows a chamber neck I.D. of .232", the same as every factory chamber I've checked. You're in good shape in regard to your fired cases.
