hi chaps if anyone has some load data for a 1 in 11 twist i would love to compare notes on powder bullet combinations.

I'll say that my 11 twist 3-groove PN Super Match barrel thrives on RL-10X though, along with Sierra BK's.......usually one hole in the range of .25" - .3".

Rick. On that 204 match barrel, do your standard dies work with it, neck size only, etc. or does it require a custom die to resize ?
Looking into re-barreling my Rem 700 .223 action. and checking out a few things before I place a order. Thank you, when you return from the DEPLOYMENT>>> have fun. BIll K

Bill: Because it's a custom snug chamber, I use a Redding bushing neck die because of the non-standard neck, and have a body and F/L die on the shelf if they're ever needed.....so far after 4 reloadings of the brass for that rifle (SPOD), no chambering issues so far, so have never used either of those dies to date.

So to answer the question: No special or custom dies needed, just the appropriate neck bushing size(s). Of course you can always order die blanks from Redding or Newlon and have your smith use your reamer on the blanks. That produces the absolute best possible dies; did it with both my 223 Ackley and my 243 Ackley, and the results were very good.

Now it's back to the bench and those 450 EMPTY 20VT cases that need filling.......

thank you very much for your time it is very appreciated.maybe my ambitions are too high for a factory rifle but here goes,i see these images of one hole groups and that is what i am hoping for though i have not been doing this for long so please bare with me. my magick loads so far 22.9 benchmark 40grn v max oal 2.249 cci primer achieving 0.29" great but the load is just below min next as you said 10x 23.0 grn0.30" with 39 sbk and 15x 27.2 grn 40 grn v max .33 group but faster at 3650fps i know these groups are good by most standards but down range the slowest tightest group opened up to 2.5" at 200 yds now i am using the same oal on all is that bad?you see i have a tikka t3 and i believe they use a standard chamber and so far my rifle seems to not mind the jump and my oal is near to factory length.i have made great progress but it is just that tiny bit more. i have ordered a neck trimmer (outside)that i have yet to use nor have i experimented with primers as i had loads of cci primers.i was thinking of flash hole deburing,but before i go down that route is there anything else i'm missing.i use hornady brass which i trim to size if needed.these groups are the best i have achieved and when i shoot the same recipe my groups are slightly larger sometimes .i am being very careful with measuring each powder load on my rcbs scales.i know its such a small amount left to close and my heart tells me look at oal again i was thinking of trying w748 powder but can not get any.and i now have six pots of powder, four of which give good groups.i am full case sizing perhaps i should try just the neck?i believe i can do this on a full size die.maybe i should be happy as it is not a custom rifle just a barrell i would find your musings very interesting. and thankyou again
