Started on my Reloadiong/Gun room

TDM: You'd be better off storing all your loaded ammo in military .50 cal ammo cans....airtight, dust tight, watertight, no humitidy can enter, and they stack nicely. I've got over 100K loaded rounds stored that way, and even after years of storage, the stuff still smells fresh when opened no matter how long they've been in storage. When you start adding new calibers, you'll be out of drawer space quickly (and you will add new calibers eventually, I promise. )

Save your drawer space for reloading tools and supplies. JMO after setting up five reloading rooms, and 40+ years of doing this, you'll need the drawer room for more things other than ammo, and there's much better ways to store it......

The Pics have inspired me.Yesterday I cleaned all the boxes,empty powder kegs,etc,out.Couldn't believe all the long gun boxes I had,and don't know how they got there.LOL.It's all the Shotgun wads,cases,etc, that take so much room,plus four MEC presses;three moveable for storage,but need to get them off the floor.

A quick call to my guy at Fastenal and I have the inserts that I wanted. They are called EZ knife thread. Just like a set screw with internal 1/4-20 threads. Run them into the counter and done. I can remove the press and use the same button head screws to fill the holes. Plan to do same with the trim station.

Good tip Max.If I ever had a dedicated loading room(I'm close now),those inserts would be a clean way to install multiple presses in the same location(space consideration)At one time I had a 4 MEC loading set up in a closet 3" wide,with presses mounted on a small board that I could C clamp to the front of the plywood table.Thoes not in use slid to the back wal.I don't want to drill any holes in the Oak table I use for brass prep,and sizing with a Harrels clamp-on 308sized C press,cause it was my parents first kitchen table,and is at least 95 tears young

TDM: Personally, I'd opt for a gun safe rather than gun racks. You've got some very nice stuff to protect. If they get in and see it, they'll steal it. Don't offer food to the predators among us.

Many safe companies also offer interior lighting. I installed a complete set of flourescents in mine, and used a micro switch from Radio Shack at the door so the light comes on when the door opens, and goes off when the door closes..... even the safe queens in the back are lit up nicely for display purposes. Again, JMO.
