Finding 204 brass on-line.

Post by Va varminter »

How is it that Midway is on backorder for 204 brass(win.) and most of the other big boys has it in stock. I orderd 200 cases back in March from Midway and was told they were on backorder, but it should only be a few days. I cancelled my order on April 19 because they were still on backorder and no end in sight. Clicked on Natchez and got what I needed. Cabelas even had them. Even some smaller lesser known internet sites have them. I'm not mad or anything. I was just under the impression that if Midway ain't got it, then it can't be got (esp. brass).

I think over all I would agree that if it's out there, Midway probably has it.....and most often, that's true. On the other hand, like everyone, they develop holes in the inventory. For example last week I wanted to order a 500ct box of Sierra .204 39BKs, and Midway showed them out until mid May, so I picked them up from Lock Stock and Barrel......that's one of the great things about this market...we have some very good choices in terms of components and shooting gear. Midway and Sinclair are at the top of my list, but MidSouth, Lock Stock and Barrel and Natchez are up there also, I've also had good success at times with Widener's, Graf & Sons and Powder Valley.
