Paul-- It looks like you have the H4895 powder and the 40 gr. V-Max bullets working pretty good in your .204 Ruger. The 25.3 gr., 25.7 gr., and 26.5 gr. loads might also merit a second chance next time you go to the range. I would definitely be loading up about 10 of those 25.1 gr. loads and 10 of the 26.7 gr. loads to see if you can get a repeat of the small groups the next time around.

I'm sure you know it, but that 26.7 gr. load is still a full grain below the max listed by Hodgdon for that 40 gr. V-Max. Did you chronograph any of those loads? I'd be interested in hearing what the velocity is for those loads with the coated bullets.

What are you using to coat your bullets--Danzac??? Moly??? or some other stubstance??

No Chronograph
Used WS2 for coating.

I'm going to work up some load this weekend to do the comparison.
