Dogtown bullets

I have ordered a box from Midway. How accurate are these bullets? I assume they should shoot real well since they are produced by Nosler.

Which powders seen to be the most accurate?

So far, they have NOT been spectacular for anyone I know of, Nosler or not (I can't get the 50gr. .224" Dogtowns to shoot for beans, either!) The best results I've gotten so far have been with these components:
Midway's Dogtown 34s
27.3 Benchmark
WW cases
Remington 7 1/2 primers
Granting that I have a fussy rifle (it likes 32s, dangit!), I haven't been able to get much under 3/4" with the Dogtown bullets, and I've tried various powders (Benchmark, H-322, AA2230-C, and DP-68), so far, it just hasn't lit up with the Dogtowns at all. I'll still get some now and then, for plinking and PD shooting up close, but for accuracy, I'm going to have to stick to 32s, and just eat the high price .

I have shot them in the Encore using Winchester cases, Federal 205M and H4895

27.5 grains 3898 fps .774@100
28.0 grains 3961 fps .589@100
28.3 grains 4026 fps .445@100 a maximum load in the Encore

I like the bullets for the Encore, the problem is that they have a BC (.149) of a stone. When hunting groundhogs at distances under 200 yards they should work ok, but in prairie dog territory I'll stick with the 32& 39 grain Sierra's.

I've been in the Nosler store and talked to them about there Dog Town bullet that they contracted to make for Midway. Keep the velocity down around 3,800 and you should be able to find a sweet spot that will get you tight groups. Remember you where looking for a ecanomical squirrel killer. If you fill that the squirrel needs to be hit at over 4,000 fps you will have to pay the price for a ballistic tipped something.

Try Ram shot Extrerminator It meters well is about the lowest priced powder on the market and will give you the right velocity for the dog town bullet as it won't get you past 3900 fps. and gives me great groups.

None of the local shops carry any Ramshot powders, so I've been trying to find something with Accurate Arm's surplus stuff (2230-C and DP-68, $75/8pounds) I'm low on 2230-C now, and there isn't any more, period, so it's getting used carefully, but it's shown to be pretty good in a .204, I wish I could find more of it.
Data Powder 68 has been a pain in the neck so far, and hasn't shown me much, but I'll try it again, and try to find something in the 3800 range, as per Nosler's advice. I usually don't try for a speed range, though, I just try to find something that'll shoot well, and hang the speed. We'll give it another shot after deer season finishs up (got a lot on the plate right now!)

I'll agree accuracy comes first. My opinion of the dogtowns is if you get them consistently .5moa or less your doing well. As far as velocity I have pushed them over 4250fps without losing any to blow up.
Thats more than I can say for Sierra.
My rifle/powder combo seemed to have a nice node around 4150fps. I never bothered trying to perfect it though. Maybe when I'm bored this winter.
But then again those Varmint grenades are supposed to be coming out

28.0 grains of H4895 has become my do all load in my Encore. I have shot it with outstanding results with the Berger 35's and it also shoots the Sierra 39's well. I know it is over max but it shoots well with no pressue signs. I have some of the Dogtowns loaded with it now I just have not had a chance to test them.
