Rick got me to thinking about my dog Nova. She is a wonderful pet and I love her very much. I am sure you all feel the same way about your dogs. So this thread is to post pictures of our dogs and tell about them.

Nova is my 4 year old Labrador retriever. She is like a family member.

KT: Yup, Nova is a beauty alright. We DO love our pups! I'm guessing most gun-guys here have a dog at home.

Here's Rose and Lucy, my two last Basset Hounds. Gone now, but not forgotten. That was 14 years of pure joy with those two.



And the two 'new' girls, Ruby and Lily.



Every morning after they have their breakfast, the sit in our front bay window seat and do a "group howl" for no apparent reason, except to let the neighbors know they're awake.

Here's Ruby checking out some rock chucks shot with my Cooper M38 20 Vartarg. Being Hound Dogs, they MUST sniff virtually everything of interest. And it appears chucks are interesting.

And just for fun, my buddy Stacey with his hounds with a treed lion he just shot with his Marlin 22 Mag. I don't let my hounds near big cats.....they can't run fast enough!



As for dogs....my dad used to say "Dogs aren't my whole life, but they make my life whole". About the way most of us feel I'm thinking.

Rick my neighbors had bassets when I was a kid....they were nice dogs.

My best grouse hunting buddy Blazer. He used to give me that look after I missed a grouse he flushed. This picture is from 10 years ago, he's coming up on 14 years old.

Well, one thing is stunningly apparent.....gun-guys ARE dog lovers!
